OZONE ENDURO V5
DO-IT-ALL PERFORMANCE
The Ozone Enduro V5 is still an ‘Enduro’. It’s capable of anything, but the balance in its performance is now further tuned to deliver on the main priority for most freeriders, which is easy access to exciting big air riding.
- Do-it-all performance, now with extra lift and hangtime
- THE go-to kite for all styles of shredding
- Easily accessible for riders of intermediate level and upwards
- Vortex inspired features for enhanced rider feedback
- 16-point bridle connection and Ozone’s typically clean canopy profile
- Super stable airframe, reduced bar pressure, rapid upwind pull
- Adjustable settings for freestyle / freeride & big air / wave & foil
- Total confidence to send it every session
- Built with the most reliable materials and meticulous in-house production methods
Ozone Enduro v5, VORTEX INSPIRED, LOADED WITH EXTRA BOOST
The Ozone Enduro V5 has a rock-solid, stable airframe with minimal bouncing, but it’s not merely a tuned-down Vortex. The Enduro V5 sits alone, as a phenomenal all-round weapon.
Reduced bar pressure and steering forces facilitate longer, heavily powered sessions, enhancing the overall freeriding experience. Additionally, the kite’s tendency to sit further forward in the wind window makes upwind riding effortless and efficient, with minimal lateral pull.
The clean forward drive and perfectly balanced feel have only added to the Ozone Enduro V5’s unhooked freestyle performance.
I immediately experienced a lot of really wild jumps on the Vortex — jumps where I kept going up and, just when I thought I was coming back down, I would go back up again. These jumps had previously felt rare, but I find them all the time on the Vortex. The same thing now happens with the Enduro V5

OZONE ENDURO V5 – THE ESSENTIAL SELECTION
The Ozone Enduro V5 retains its signature DNA of all-round performance, but now produces more lift and hangtime.
Inspired by the Vortex project, Ozone brought across some of the most effective design features, like the 16-point bridle connection and sail tension, that helped make it such an explosive yet accessible performance jumping kite.
These, alongside a revised Enduro shape with less arc in the central section, have dramatically enhanced the jump and float capabilities of the V5 compared to its predecessor.
VORTEX CROSS-OVER FEATURES
- Improved sail shaping has produced an even tighter canopy and contributes to high reactivity and less sail flutter
- 16 point bridle attachment points for a very stable and direct airframe
- Soft and rigid anti-flap battens
RETURNING ENDURO FEATURES
- Continuous Curve leading edge
- Transverse Sail Shaping
- Variable Bridle Geometry
- Back line adjustment settings
ANTI-FLAP BATTENS
A combination of soft and rigid battens strategically positioned along the trailing edge provide canopy support and reduce flutter, enhancing kite feedback to the rider and also reducing canopy material wear.
FAST FLOW ONE-PUMP INFLATION SYSTEM
The Fast Flow One-Pump Inflation System makes set up and packing quick and easy. It features single point inflation/deflation and a high air flow rate between the Struts and Leading Edge, with clips to seal the hoses to prevent unwanted air flow in case of damage.
The new silicone covers keep weight down, now you no longer have heavy wet neoprene covers
Ozone ENduro V5 VBG
Quick and easy to change with no extra lines to add or remove.
Ozone’s market leading three stage Variable Bridle Geometry offers outstanding performance across a wide range of disciplines for intermediate to advanced riders whether you’re free riding, free styling or wave riding.

Being a long term user of ozone kites, I have flown every version of the enduro.
And with each version I have seen major changes.
The Enduro V5 keeps some of the features found on the V4 like
The CONSTANT CURVE LEADING EDGE (only available on ozone kites)
This creates a cleaner surface at the most important area of the airfoil. The result is less turbulent airflow, which positively affects the lift to drag ratio increasing overall performance.
TRANSVERSE SHAPING,
extra seam in the sail running close to the leading edge, which allows for more true 3D shaping, giving you a cleaner area of lift.
TRIPLE RIPSTOP
For superior strength and flex triple ripstop from tejin allows a balance of performance and longevity, with ozone felc coating applied this allows for a long lasting kite.
TRIPLE DACRON,
the leading edge and struts use triple Dacron, this strong but lightweight material offers Extra stiffness, but maintains strength where some others may fail.
New for the Enduro V5
16 POINT BRIDLE
Allowing for a very stable and direct airframe, this is twice as many as previous enduro
FLATTER ARC
the centre of the enduro v5 has been flattened off for extra lift and hangtime.
ANTI FLAP BATTENS
with a mix of soft and hard battens in the trailing edge this keeps the canopy tight and stops flutter if the trailing edge.
Let’s get down to the review.
Twin tip rider
In the air the Enduro V5 feels much lighter on the bar, one thing I did notice is that you can have a lot of backline tension and the kite doesn’t stall, however it does give you feedback with some heavier bar pressure this can be a negative if you are unsure how to trim your kite properly.
The kite is fast and direct, maybe not as fast as the v4 enduro but compared to other 10s this kite definitely moves quick around the window.
The canopy is tight, that’s right this kite is solid in the sky not flutter, it’s just ready to go.
I did notice straight away there is a nice pull and go feel to the kite however it’s still a kite that has to be flown to get the best out of it, it rides upwind like a dream and jumps are noticeably bigger than the v4 enduro,
The low end for the 10 was great and I could happily ride in 20knts on a 138 board.
one thing that shocked me was the hangtime, at point I felt like I was on the Edge hanging under the kite.
I had no problem looping the 10m and getting caught, it goes round nice and quick and drives above your head for a solid catch.
Coming off the vortex it took me a little to dial in to the kite, but the more you move it the more it gives you back.
WHO IS THE KITE FOR?
I would recommend this kite to anyone that enjoys all aspects of Kitesurfing, it really is a swiss army knife, although I didn’t fully get to test each setting on the correct boards(foil/surf) there is a massive change in feeling for a small change on the bridle.
This kite is aimed at the progressing intermediate rider that wants to learn to loop or just boost.
A beginner may find the enduro a little harder to use due to the speed and lighter bar pressure, plus the need to move the kite to gain power, however if your riding upwind and don’t need to look at your kite it could be there perfect match as a kite to really progress on.
