Here’s what we tell people in our showroom about wetsuits — no spec-sheet nonsense.
As a rough guide: a 3/2 for summer, a 4/3 for spring and autumn, and a 5/4/3 or 5/4 for winter. If you ride through the coldest months, a hooded 6/5/4 with boots and gloves keeps you out longer. Wind chill counts on a kite or wing, so many riders go a little warmer than they would for surfing.
Sooruz makes short (S) and tall (T) versions of its sizes as well as the standard fit, so MS is a medium short and MT a medium tall. Check the size guide on each wetsuit, or message us your height, weight and chest and we’ll help.
A chest zip seals well and keeps the back flexible. A back zip is the easiest to get in and out of. Sooruz’s front zip and new U-Zip give a big opening that’s easy to get into, especially on a hooded suit, while limiting flushing.
In UK winter water they make a big difference to how long you can stay out. Wind-sport gloves and open-palm mitts keep your feel on the bar, and a hood or hooded suit keeps the chill off your head.
