Foil Drive Assist MAX+ (Base Kit)

Built on the 43v architecture, the Assist MAX+ offers Foil Drive’s most durable one-piece battery design, all while retaining the compact, lightweight and balanced package that made the original MAX so versatile.

From tiny bumps to the biggest waves of your life, MAX+ gives you the freedom to keep flying regardless of the conditions. Surfing, light wind wing, downwind, wake, flatwater or E-Foiling, it adds more power, runtime and range to practically any existing foil setup you have already or want to ride, making every session easier to access, more productive and more fun.

Who it’s for

The Assist MAX+ is the “all-rounder” Foil Drive unit, for riders wanting a powerful foil assist, with minimal compromise on ride feel. It is best for:

• Longer surf sessions with higher wave count, in more conditions
• Motor upwind to unlock downwind runs without a shuttle
• Easier and faster Flatwater Take-Offs
• Practice pumping without wasting energy on repeated tow or surf starts
• Chase and ride wake swells from passing boats
• Fast self-recovery between falls for more ride time.
• Extra thrust to unlock smaller boards and foils with more confidence and runtime
• Unlimited progression regardless of the conditions.
• All rider types and abilities under 100 kg using small to mid-length boards
• Advanced riders wanting to prioritise weight saving, without compromise on power

Weight and runtime by battery

*Installed weight includes the unit, battery, integrated high-power motor, three-blade hub, props and nose cone (if applicable). Runtimes are Foil Drive’s guide for an 85kg intermediate rider on a 5’0 40L board with an 800–1000cm² wing, in under 5 knots of wind. Yours will vary with weight, skill, kit and conditions.

Good to know

• The MAX+ runs on Foil Drive’s 43V Gen2.5 platform. Assist MAX (Gen2, 40V) batteries and chargers do not fit.
• FM+ batteries are shared with the Fusion, so you can swap or upgrade systems later.
• Motor pods are no longer in the base kit. Choose a retro-fit motor kit (pod included) or the integrated mast motor.
• The integrated mast motor needs a Foil Drive compatible integrated mast, sold separately.
