The Dart is a shorter, more playful SUP for a wide variety of conditions and abilities. The goal was a design as compact as possible while keeping board speed and ease of take-off. Thanks to its rocker line and bottom contours the board accelerates effortlessly.
To keep a short board stable, the bottom is flatter in the standing area and tail, and the tail and overall width are increased. The stubbier design feels nimble in flight, allowing more radical carves and better foil control, and fits tighter bumps and the wave pocket. The added width allows a concave deck for a locked-in feel, and it borrows Mako features: vertical rails, extra tail rocker and a displacement hull in the nose for glide and acceleration.
Tailored to short-period downwind bumps and wave riding, it also works as a light-wind wing or parawing board – a perfect travel board. Semi-custom carbon construction with high quality board bag included.
Frank boards are hand finished, so no two are alike; images show the board before final finishing.
