The AXIS Surge front wing is AXIS’s surf foil that refuses the old trade-off between carve and glide. Shortboard attitude, smooth predictable rail-to-rail, effortless pumping to link sections, and low-end grunt that turns knee-high slop into a playground. Nine sizes from 740 to 1240 in Ultra High Mod reinforced carbon – for prone, wing, parawing and kite foilers.

The AXIS Surge rebuilds the surf foil from zero. For too long surf foils demanded a sacrifice: carve or glide, but not both. Surge delivers both. Load up your back foot and it answers instantly, knifing through the pocket with a shortboard attitude. Rail-to-rail is smooth and predictable – lay it over and release your wingtips with confidence – and effortless pumping lets you link sections and connect multiple waves.
The range is staggering: low-end torque turns mushy, knee-high slop into a foil playground, letting you stall deep in the pocket, hit whitewater and pump back to the lineup. Wind it up and you have explosive speed and unshakable control. Wing foilers, para-wingers and kite foilers get easy, early flight and the top-end efficiency for big upwind tacks and downwind voyages.
By progressively increasing aspect ratio as the range grows, AXIS kept the speed, glide and efficiency of the small sizes without the larger wings becoming slow or draggy. The 1240 has been tested dock starting, downwind, parawing, winging and SUP foiling. Compared with the Fireball 1350 it turns more easily with better tip behaviour and a far more surfable feel; compared with the Spitfire 1180 it delivers more low-speed lift, easier pumping and significantly improved glide.
740, 780, 830, 890, 950, 1010, 1080, 1150 and 1240 – see the size cards for span, area and aspect ratio.
AXIS recommend pairing the Surge with the Surf Skinny rear stabs for the perfectly balanced blend of speed, power and flow. Browse all AXIS front wings.
