Ozone Edge VT

The Ozone Edge VT is Ozone’s benchmark for tube-kite performance, and this VT (“Version Thirteen”) is the sharpest it’s ever been. This is a big-air kite through and through: explosive lift, gravity-defying hangtime, and epic upwind drive, delivered with the rock-solid stability of a five-strut frame. It’s a rocket ship — if you want to boost as high as possible and hang up there for board-offs (or just to enjoy the view), this is the kite.

The VT update draws on lessons from the Vortex program: a new planform with a refined arc for quicker, more responsive turns, tighter sail tensions for a cleaner canopy, and a slimmer leading edge for less drag and faster flight. A Vortex-inspired 16-point bridle improves load distribution and stability. The result is a more rigid frame, better feedback, and that “you and the kite are one” connection — plus kite loops that feel genuinely more intuitive and accessible than before.

Ozone tailor the airframe materials to each size: tough Teijin Triple Ripstop Dacron on the smaller kites (6–9m), a hybrid build with performance Dacron struts on the mid sizes (10–13m), and full 125g performance Dacron airframes on the big lightwind sizes (15 & 18m). It’s still every bit the Edge you know — just with more agility, more fun, and even more hangtime.
