Code Foils Plus Ultra High Modulus Mast

The Plus Mast Series is Code’s latest mast development. Crafted from full ultra high modulus carbon with careful consideration of its layering, it has outstanding stiffness in both torsion and flexion.

It shares the distinctive design and the same mould as the original mast, with the same extended blend to the base plate and a tapered, thinned bottom to improve glide and efficiency when high on the mast. It is engineered to optimise glide and energy efficiency while minimising unwanted movement.

By the numbers

Code’s original mast is the benchmark. The Plus mast shows a 41% increase in torsional stiffness and a 59% increase in flexural stiffness compared with the original high modulus mast (calculations based on tests of the 80 cm mast).

Which length?

• 75 cm – good for shallow areas, prone, downwind and dock foiling
• 80 cm – allows more bank in the turn; a one-mast quiver option between disciplines
• 85 cm – wing foil, bigger surf and tow
• 95 cm – pushing into bigger, faster and more powerful conditions
