The Code Foils R2 Series UHM front wing (Rv2) is the second generation of Code’s race-winning R Series. A 15.8 aspect ratio, thinner and faster section and earlier lift give higher average and top speeds and longer glide, so you can ride a size smaller. Seven sizes from 475 to 990 cm² for downwind, dock starts, pumping, surf, wing and parawing.

The Rv2 is the second iteration of Code Foils’ R Series – the wing James Casey rode to win the M2O on the 860R. It keeps the R’s DNA and versatility, but Code have used three years of high-aspect experience and many prototypes to improve every part of the front wing. It is built for maximum efficiency, effortless speed and long-distance glide.
The R2 isn’t just designed to win races; it’s designed to help you reach your own goals:
A 15.8 aspect ratio makes this one of the most efficient front wings Code have produced. Its thin section slices cleanly through the water, minimising drag and maximising glide, and it is designed to turn bumps, light wind and subtle ocean movement into forward momentum.
The R2 is engineered to hold speed. Instead of working to keep the foil flying, you can focus on reading the water: it carries momentum naturally, accelerates easily and holds higher averages over long distances.
Despite its efficiency it is stable and predictable. It tracks confidently through long, drawn-out turns, encouraging flowing, snowboard-style carves rather than abrupt pivots, and carries speed through transitions.
The high aspect ratio is what makes the R2 versatile: it accelerates out of flat water as easily as it holds a line through open-ocean bumps. The 741 R2 won the Doctor (a flat-water sprint into downwind bumps) and was used in a dock start race. Riders also used the R2 in the 2026 M2O, a race with almost no wind, a large south swell and a flat-water finish.
The R2 doesn’t replace the original R – the R still has its place. The R2 has liftier sections, earlier lift and more low end, so the range goes smaller (475 to 990 cm²) and you can ride a size smaller than you would on the R. Code say it has not compromised anywhere: amazing low end, better top end and higher average speeds.

“For the ultimate high-performance package, we recommend pairing the Rv2 Series with our Race Series Stabilizers. Together they create our fastest, most efficient foiling system, maximising glide, speed, control and overall performance.” – Marcus, Ben, Dan and James, Code Foils
Pair with the Code Race rear stab, a Code mast and fuselage.

One of the most efficient front wings Code have made.

Slices cleanly through the water, minimising drag and maximising glide.

Faster averages and top end: the foil carries momentum for you.

Liftier sections and earlier lift let you size down from the R.

Stable and predictable through long, snowboard-style carves.

Dock starts, pumping, surf, wing, parawing and downwind.

The 741 R2 won the Doctor; riders used the R2 in the 2026 M2O.

Code recommend the Race Series stabs for their fastest set-up.
