Code Foils R Series High Modulus Front Wing ✶

The R Series High Modulus front wings are designed for the growing discipline of downwind SUP foiling. Built with High Modulus carbon to the build quality riders know from Code Foils, they are super lightweight with phenomenal stiffness for their span.

These wings are designed for a wide speed range and efficient pumping. They are not as manoeuvrable as some other wings, but they glide forever and still turn – Code call them their “longboard foils” because of their long, stable design. The R Series has an incredible low end for its size.

Proven in racing

World Champion James Casey used the 860R High Modulus to win the Molokai 2 Oahu Downwind World Championship in 2023 – from a flatwater start to a challenging upwind finish – and the 770R High Modulus to win Paddle Imua, a shorter sprint-style race. Ben Tardrew used the 860R to reach the podium in a nearly windless Hood River challenge.

Which R Series size?

  • 600R – the smallest R; engineered for speed, racing and big ocean downwind conditions. Built to be stiff
  • 680R – dynamic “little brother” of the 770R and 860R
  • 770R – stable, efficient, incredible low-end performance
  • 860R – more stability and low-end performance
  • 960R & 1075R – the gateway into downwind foiling and linking bumps; enable foiling in almost windless conditions for experienced riders
  • 1250R – the largest R, for maximum glide, efficiency and versatility; great for dock starts and those starting to downwind

Please note: R Series front wings are not designed to be jumped. Jumping an R Series front wing will void the warranty.

Designer notes

“These wings were designed to win the M2O race. Not only did we achieve that, but the versatility of the R series also led to a podium finish in light conditions at Hood River.” – Marcus, Ben, Dan and James, Code Foils

Pair with the Code R Series or AR Series rear stabs and the Code Sprint Paddle for downwind.
