AXIS Frank Mako Downwind Foilboard (v1)

Designed on Maui by Francesco Maffei (Frank Foilboards), the Mako came out of countless Maliko runs and many design refinements, with one goal: the most user-friendly, high-performance downwind SUP foilboard available.

• Rocker line – builds board speed and releases from the water effortlessly for very smooth take-offs
• Rails and width – the rocker and rail design make it extremely stable, which allows a narrower width for more displacement speed
• Bottom shape – accelerates through the water for take-offs and stays forgiving on high-speed touchdowns
• Tail rocker – stops the tail catching while you’re on foil and stops the board tracking too hard in a straight line
• Flat deck – comfort and direct feel on long runs, with room to adjust your stance
• Volume in the middle – balanced when paddling and on foil, with low nose and tail volume so it feels much shorter than it is
• Full carbon with a high-density foam sandwich under the pad, so your energy goes straight to the foil
