The Lieuwe Brute is a big air board for advanced riders who want maximum grip and control in the strongest conditions. A hybrid carbon, fibreglass and Kevlar construction keeps its rocker and shape under load, while deep centre channels, a double concave and a very straight outline lock it in and catch quickly after landings. 132–141cm.

The Lieuwe Brute is built for big air riders who demand control in strong wind. Its unique hybrid fibre construction, inspired by the aerospace industry, combines carbon, fibreglass and Kevlar for the right balance of strength, stiffness and durability. It stays incredibly stable under load, keeping its rocker and shape consistent even in the most powered conditions, for a solid, predictable feel at speed.
Shaped from the feedback of Lieuwe’s customers, ambassadors and team riders, the Brute is ‘the board riders asked for’. A very straight outline, a double concave and deep centre channels create extreme, locked-in grip when edging, and the board catches quickly after landing so you can regain control and load up for the next jump without losing momentum. It uses roughly the same rocker as the Shotgun Air, but the construction is significantly stiffer.
It gives up some playfulness and comfort for serious control – less forgiving, but incredibly reliable when it matters most. It is not designed for precise technical tricks; it is built for heavy sessions, kickers and storm days, and for advanced riders who want to compete at the highest level.
Specifications (from Lieuwe):
Rider weights are Lieuwe’s recommendations for riders with standard expectations. Board weight tolerance ±5%. Pads/bindings sold separately.
Lieuwe notes that using any boots system is at your own risk.
Every Lieuwe board is hand-crafted in Holland, where Lieuwe has been building kiteboards since 2010, and each model goes through at least 18 months of testing in the Netherlands’ choppy home waters and Cape Town’s strong winds. Lieuwe was the first kiteboard brand to be awarded Gold Level certification by Sustainable Surf.
